Job Description
This role will be embedded within the client organisation,supporting the safe delivery of major projects. The role isrequiredfor continuation of support for HSE governance,assuranceand advice whilst the permanent recruitment process is ongoing. The role will focus on major infrastructure and will help with the Head of Delivery in meeting their requirements in forming their new internal structure.
This is a full-time role, five days a week on-site in Derby.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance and assurance with relevant UK HSE legislation, focusingmainly onCDM Regulations 2015
* Ensure that RRSL Control of Contractor requirements and standards are fulfilled
* Carry out site audits and inspections of construction related activities
* Capture relevant LFE and ensure investigations are closed out working with the Project Management team to raise awareness and culture
* Provideexpert guidance and support to project teams on safe working practices
* Develop robust HSE management systems tailored to major construction projects
* Monitor the HSE performance of contractor activities in line with CDM 2015
* Champion a proactive, safety-first culture across all levels of the site team
Qualifications
* Proven experience in HSE roles in fissile environments, construction, utilities, site wide enablingworksand major infrastructure projects
* In-depth knowledge and application of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015
* In depth knowledge and application of the NuclearLicenceCondition Handbook
* Strongtrack recordof conducting audits, producingreportsandidentifyingpractical solutions
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
* NEBOSH General Certificate or NEBOSH Construction Certificate (Essential)
