HGV Technician Location: Grantham Basic Salary: Up to £40,500 per annum OTE: Overtime at 1.5x (£50,000 achievable OTE) Hours: 40 hours per week About the Role ISQ Recruitment are recruiting an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy commercial vehicle workshop in Grantham. You'll be responsible for keeping fleet and customer vehicles operating safely through high‑quality maintenance, repairs and diagnostic work. What You'll Be Doing Carrying out scheduled servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance. Conducting diagnostic work and identifying mechanical or electrical faults. Performing major and minor repairs on HGVs, trailers and associated equipment. Maintaining accurate job records, reports and warranty documentation. Working closely with workshop colleagues to plan repair workloads. Providing roadside repair support when required during call‑outs. Ensuring workshop housekeeping standards are maintained at all times. Essential Skills & Qualifications To be considered, you'll need: Level 3 qualification in HGV Maintenance & Repair (NVQ, City & Guilds or IMI). Strong knowledge of DVSA safety standards and inspection practices. Previous hands-on experience working with HGVs or commercial vehicles. Full UK driving licence (HGV class beneficial but not essential). Ability to identify mechanical faults, diagnose issues and work efficiently. A proactive, safety‑focused approach to workshop tasks.
