We are seeking an experienced bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience in Xero. As part of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting tasks, and ensuring smooth financial information for the management team.
This position will be part-time with the requirement to work from our office.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform daily bookkeeping duties, including recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling accounts using Xero.
* Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
* Process payroll, expense reports, and bank reconciliations.
* Prepare financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
* Support month-end and year-end close processes.
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping experience in a commercial environment
* 2 years' experience in Xero accounting software is essential
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and processes
* Experience with accounts reconciliation, financial reports, and payroll
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
