Accounts Manager required for this highly regarded CA firm based in the central belt. The team provides high-quality advice and assistance in every aspect of their clients’ financial and accounting needs, with a strong focus on exceptional client care. This has resulted in a strong, varied, and loyal client portfolio that has grown significantly due to client referrals.
As a result, this friendly team is looking to add an additional Accounts Manager to their team with client portfolio management responsibilities. Client sectors include leisure, hospitality, technology, professional services, agricultural, and retail.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing your own varied and interesting client portfolio, engaging as the key point of contact and responding to client queries
2. Reviewing and submitting accounts prepared by junior team members
3. VAT, personal tax, and corporation tax compliance
4. Managing WIP, fees, deadlines, and budgets
5. Building and nurturing strong client relationships, attending occasional client meetings
6. Working effectively in a team, providing coaching, mentoring, and training to junior team members
Key Skills and Experience:
1. Qualified ACCA/CA (or equivalent) with experience within an accountancy practice
2. Minimum 2-3 years' post-qualification experience
3. Familiarity with general accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, IRIS, etc.)
4. Ability to work on own initiative
5. Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
6. Positive and proactive approach to work
