About the Role - Speech and Language Therapist, Hounslow Location : Hounslow, West London Setting : Mainstream Primary School with a strong SEN focus Start Date : ASAP or September 2025 Hours : Full-time (Term time only) Contract : Long-term, with potential to extend or become permanent As the school's dedicated Speech and Language Therapist, you'll work both 1:1 and in small groups with pupils across EYFS to KS2. Your focus will be on improving expressive/receptive language, supporting social communication, and helping teachers embed SALT strategies into classroom practice. ✅ What We're Looking For: HCPC Registered Speech and Language Therapist (essential) Degree or MSc in Speech and Language Therapy from an HCPC-approved and RCSLT-recognised course Passion for working with children with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) Experience supporting students with ASD, speech delays, or social communication challenges Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with SENCOs, teachers, parents, and external agencies Desirable Skills & Training: Makaton, PECS, or AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication) training Familiarity with sensory integration and ASD-focused interventions CPD or experience in supporting dysphagia (not essential for this setting, but desirable) Up-to-date Safeguarding training Why Join This Hounslow School?
