Role: Deputy Maintenance Team Leader
Location: Burton-Upon-Trent
Shifts: 4 on 4 off Days and Nights
Salary: GBP50,000, Pension Contribution, and Private Healthcare
The Company
We are proud to be working with a global systems integrator within the warehousing industry. The company designs, manufactures, and installs automation for product retrieval and storage, providing a resident site maintenance team. They work with some major clients across the UK and are expanding globally, currently operating in over 60 countries.
At their Burton site, over GBP20 million has been recently invested in the latest technology and automation. The site has grown from processing 20,000 orders a day to 40,000, with increased demand following recent success. They are seeking a Deputy Team Leader to assist in managing their shift team, with the role becoming increasingly important as the site expands by an additional 50% over the next two years.
The Role
As a MDTL, your responsibilities will include:
1. Collaborating with the Maintenance Team Leader to oversee the four engineers on shift and reporting any issues.
2. Stepping into a Team Leader role in their absence.
3. Promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring adherence to Health & Safety and statutory procedures.
4. Preparing and leading Daily Review Meetings with key stakeholders.
5. Analyzing CMMS data to assist in planning for continuous improvement opportunities.
6. Working on highly automated equipment, including automated shuttle systems, robotics, and conveyor systems.
The Candidate
We seek a MDTL who:
1. Is a multi-skilled engineer with safe electrical and mechanical working practices.
2. Confidently communicates and works well within a team.
3. Holds a recognized engineering qualification.
4. Can perform independently and handle pressure effectively.
