Primary SEN Teacher - Complex Needs (Full-Time, Fixed Term until July 2026) Are you a passionate and dedicated teacher with experience supporting children with complex needs? Academics are working in partnership with a fantastic Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in the East Birmingham area who are seeking a Primary SEN Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis until July 2026. This is a wonderful opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who wants to make a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs, while being part of a warm, supportive school community. As a Primary SEN Teacher, you will: Teach and nurture a small class of primary-aged pupils with complex learning needs. Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that promote communication, independence, and emotional wellbeing. Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to provide a holistic approach to learning. Use a range of communication and sensory strategies (e.g. PECS, Makaton, AAC) to support engagement and progress. Create a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment.Academics are looking for someone who: Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent. Has experience teaching children with SEN, ideally within a special school or mainstream inclusion setting. Demonstrates creativity, patience, and resilience in supporting diverse learning needs. Works collaboratively with colleagues and families to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.
