Job overview
We seek to appoint an inspiring, enthusiastic and resilient Teacher of to join our unique and amazing school, which offers an alternative educational approach to students in Key Stages 3 and 4. At Southway, we have two core values: 'give hope' and 'build healthy relationships'. The ideal candidate must embrace these values, being exceptional at forming relationships with hard-to-reach children, and skilled at immersing themselves into our vibrant setting.
The vacancy has arisen due to the promotion of one of the current maths teachers to a Leadership role, which reduces teaching capacity in this critical subject area. We are keen to continue to strengthen our teaching capacity by inviting skilled colleagues to join us on this exciting journey. We are looking to appoint an inspirational maths teacher, who can unpack the subject in a way that makes it accessible to a wide range of abilities and engagement levels; our colleagues typically work with smaller class sizes, but skilful differentiation and the ability to effectively deploy support staff in the classroom, is a critical requirement.
