Amazon's vision is to be the earth's most customer-centric company. The ambition of the Amazon payments business is to transform payments in India. The payments data team provides data and insights to the partner verticals to enable decision-making. This is a senior role requiring teamwork and a business perspective. The individual will interact extensively within the team and across business lines, working in partnership with Machine Learning and Central Customer Analytics teams. There will be a steep learning curve, adding significant business skills to the individual.
Key job responsibilities
* Perform exploratory analysis: fetch data from systems and analyze trends.
* Identify consumer segments to drive adoption of Amazon Pay.
* Develop India-specific customer segmentation models to enhance marketing and product roadmap inputs.
* Establish mechanisms for cross-functional teams to utilize customer insights for improved engagement throughout the customer lifecycle.
* Work with regulated bodies (RBI, FIU, etc.) across India.
* Identify and investigate anomalies at a granular level.
* Collaborate with teams like Category, Product, Operations, etc.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* 3+ years of experience in tax, finance, or related analytical fields.
* 5+ years of experience with Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, Power Pivots) and data visualization tools such as Tableau.
* 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience.
* Experience in defining requirements and using data and metrics for insights.
* Proven ability to make business recommendations and influence stakeholders.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Advanced SQL / data mining skills.
* Experience in automating reports/dashboards.
* Experience with statistical analysis tools (R/Python).
* Experience with data visualization tools and creating visualization concepts (Tableau preferred, D3 is a bonus).
* E-commerce experience is preferred.
