Job description
This permanent position will have you accountable for delivering an extensive range of linear asset-related works which include inspections, maintenance, and various projects covering pavement, barrier, fencing, and drainage assets.
Key Responsibilities:
* Demonstrate high standards of visible safety leadership and promote behavioural safety within the team.
* Lead a large team to deliver a portfolio of inspection, maintenance, and project outputs, ensuring delivery to time and quality.
* Manage and oversee a portfolio of asset inspections, maintenance, and projects, ensuring alignment with specific asset requirements and organisational objectives.
* Take full responsibility for scheduling, executing, and completing inspections, maintenance, and projects to the required timescales and quality.
* Monitor and control the in-year delivery budget and project budgets, implementing corrective actions as needed.
* Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and clients, escalating critical decisions and unresolved issues as necessary.
* Efficiently draw on and coordinate resources within the organisational matrix to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
* Ensure all asset delivery activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, and prepare monthly reports on portfolio delivery.
Job Requirements:
* Proven experience in maintenance, project delivery, or a related field.
* Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams, preferably within a matrix organisation.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and under pressure.
* Familiarity with industry safety standards and regulations.
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a relevant field, or suitable level of experience in the industry.
* Certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.
