Retail Butchery Customer-Facing Role
We are on the lookout for a skilled and passionate Butcher to join a well-established, high-quality butchery team in a thriving environment. Salary: £31,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Full-time – 40 hours per week, with weekend availability required

What You'll Be Doing:
* Breaking down whole carcasses with precision and skill (beef, lamb, pork)
* Jointing, boning, trimming, and portioning meat to specification
* Preparing and producing sausages and other value-added products
* Maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in all areas
* Serving and advising customers with expert knowledge and excellent service
* Ensuring counters are well presented, stocked, and visually appealing
* Assisting with stock control, waste management, and order preparation
What We're Looking For:
* Proven experience in traditional butchery (minimum 2 years preferred)
* Strong carcass breakdown and boning skills
* Experience in sausage making and added-value product preparation
* Good communication skills and a confident, friendly approach to customers
* Attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
* Retail butchery or farm shop experience is desirable
* Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
