We are looking for a passionate team member to join our Safeguarding team at UHB. We aim to utilise skills and knowledge to achieve the best outcomes for children, young people, and their families accessing our services.
The post holder will be required to:
1. Deliver specialist advice, support, and supervision to staff across the organisation.
2. Develop and deliver the safeguarding education programme.
3. Complete audits and review safeguarding arrangements in line with governance requirements.
4. Participate in the development, review, and promotion of safeguarding policies.
5. Engage in information sharing processes to support safeguarding within the legal framework of the Children Act 1989.
Main duties of the job
The candidate will ensure sound advice is available on managing safeguarding concerns involving children and families. They will work with key professionals to develop and deliver services that protect children from harm and promote their welfare. Responsibilities include advising on health issues related to safeguarding risk assessments, participating in strategy meetings, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to safeguarding workgroups. The post holder will also support the Safeguarding Team to plan and manage workstreams effectively.
