About the role

We believe in providing a holistic approach to supporting students to build their employability skills and increase their chances of progressing into a positive destination. The Employment Services Officer role is fundamental to achieving this.
This role is temporary with an end date of the 31st July 2026.
Main Responsibilities:
* To work closely with curriculum colleagues to ensure student and employer compliance for student external opportunities e.g. paid, unpaid, and voluntary projects to support a student's positive start in learning, the learning journey and employability skills development
* Writing and advertising of Employer opportunities on agreed platforms
* Allocation of vacancies to relevant Employability Skills & Placement Officers depending on placement type and sector, managing audience setting for vacancy to ensure correct student target audience per vacancy
* Ensure smooth administration of vacancy, candidate match and company details via the linked placement system (EBS/CRM/WRA)
* Complete the student and employer compliance checks and formally clear the placement
* Create and issue student online interactive workbook in line with T Level funding rules
* Liaise with Curriculum Employer Partnership team and CAS team quality check and ensure all placements and work-related activity opportunities comply with the college policy and funding rules for audit prior to start date
* Match successful applicants' candidates to suitable opportunities on college systems
* Check compliance and quality of student and employer agreements and associated documents prior to the placement start date (DBS, parental consent, signed service level agreements)
* Ensure all students on placement are pulled through to WRA from EBS, matched to an official employer record and vacancy and can commence the logging of hours for the ILR feed
* Authorise first day in placement date
* Register employers and learners on WRA system (and CRM for employer) before handover to delivery once all compliance documentation is in place
* Organise and host relevant events as and when needed
* Build new partnerships with key stakeholders. Including at open evenings and external events within the South Yorkshire region
* Act as a college ambassador

As the successful candidate, you will be offered a salary of between £32,523 - £36,566 per annum based upon a combination of the skills, knowledge and experience that you can bring to the role.
