Break into a career as a Service Engineer! We will train, develop, and offer career progression to an ambitious or aspirational service engineer, regardless of your current level of experience. The role involves travel locally, nationally, and internationally as required.
BASIC SALARY: £28,000 - £32,000 (depending on experience)
LOCATION: Northern or Midlands-based (possibly living around Durham, Yorkshire, Derbyshire or the Midlands), with regional and national travel as required (up to 5 days on the road per week).
COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: York, Leeds, Sheffield, Bradford, Mansfield, Birmingham, Nottingham, Coventry, Middlesbrough, Newcastle, Derby, Stoke, Wolverhampton, Leicester.
Job Type & Benefits
* 37.5 hours per week minimum. Normal working hours are 7.30am to 4.00pm Monday to Thursday; 7.30am to 2.45pm Friday.
* Overtime paid at 1.5 times during weekdays, and 2 times (double) at weekends.
* Annual financial bonus (could be in the region of 10-15%).
* Company van, laptop, and mobile phone.

* 25 days annual leave (plus statutory days).

Job Description
Service Engineer, Maintenance Technician - Industrial Capital Equipment. You will join an established and experienced team; your first 6 months will be spent training, learning on the job, and shadowing a colleague until you are competent and ready to work solo. An induction into the company and systems will be followed by tailored full in-depth product training in the UK to ensure a full appreciation of manufacturing processes, industrial applications and capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
* A mixture of planned installations, start-ups, and commissioning (approximately 50% of the job).
* Proactive and reactive maintenance & repair work, technical troubleshooting, etc.
* Providing technical product training on customers' premises (both OEMs and end users).
* Use of forklift truck and access platforms as required (training provided).
* Managing a diverse workload and building long-term relationships with customers.
* Keeping accurate records and creating reports.
Person Specification
To be successful in your application, you will preferably have some experience in a Maintenance or Engineering role within capital equipment (or similar). Applications with less experience but strong technical capacity and willingness to train will also be considered. Minimum requirements:
* Aptitude for mechanical and electrical engineering.
* Full driving licence, passport, and flexibility to conduct overnight stays in the UK and deliver technical service & training within Europe (or occasionally Asia).
* Positive, confident, industrious, with a flexible and adaptable style.
* Personally driven to build a solid career.
