Investment Analyst - Residential Real Estate Development
An opportunity to join a niche company focusing on large scale mixed-use residential developments in central London.
Avanton is highly active in the BTR, PBSA, Co-Living, BTS, Hotels, Logistics, Retail and Offices sectors, with several live projects. Over the last five years Avanton has secured planning for c. 3,000 apartments (£2bn) and has a total current pipeline of c. 5,000 units across all Living sectors.
Due to an increase in deal flow and pipeline, we are seeking an experienced candidate to join the Investment Team, supporting the Invenstment Director and CEO in acquisitions, disposals, financing, fundraising and investor relations, supporting all aspects of the deal process.
As an analyst you will be expected to deliver best in class appraisals, detailed cashflows, investment memorandums, periodic reporting, legal/ contract reviews, industry/ sector research notes, all in a timely manner with pinpoint accuracy.
The role will offer an excellent opportunity to learn and grow within a highly experienced team, working on both new acquisitions and live development projects, and interacting with various external parties (solicitors, brokers, advisors, JV partners, lenders) as well as attending networking events. The role will also include active internal collaboration, especially with the Development Team and Operations Team.
You will be supporting senior management so you should be direct, concise, approachable and keen to learn on the job. The role is office based 5 days a week.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree or higher in real estate, finance, economics or similar
• 2-5 years exposure to transactions, whether as developer, lender, investor or advisor
• Excellent analytical and modelling skills, numeracy, presentational skills
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Experience in property development/ investment, either from a bank, a fund, a developer or advisory
