Role overview
WGSN operates a successful Content Commissioning Management team for its Fashion product. We are now looking to extend this across all WGSN products; Insight, Interiors, Beauty, Food & Drink and Consumer Tech, and further products as we launch them. The role will suit a highly organised person who enjoys developing, optimising, and implementing smooth and clear processes in a highly creative environment.
The team
WGSN has successfully implemented commissioning management at WGSN Fashion. This new role will lead the roll out of commissioning management across the rest of WGSN and lead commissioning across all of WGSN.
Key accountabilities
* Research and recommend a new Commissioning Management structure across WGSN to enable WGSN’s highly talented content teams to deliver their work calmly, creatively and efficiently.
* Build and establish appropriate clear and positive working practices for this structure.
* Develop review mechanics for ensuring the teams are meeting customers’ needs.
* Seek out and implement opportunities to reduce duplication and inefficiency.
* Encourage collaboration and multi-disciplinary ways of working.
* Further develop WGSN’s focus on sustainability, data and regional representation.
* Ensure there is alignment between WGSN’s macro forecasts and product specific recommendations.
* Plan time for every content creator for personal development, unstructured research and reflection.
* Being able to identify the best members of the team to take on tactical requirements as they arise.

* Solid experience working in a similar role
* Highly organised and responsible

* High EQ and successful track record of working with creative talent who often need autonomy and space to do their best work
* Enjoy finding ways to bring clarity and calm in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
* Comfortable working with data: can source and analyse data to identify improvement opportunities
* Experience of WGSN’s customer profiles and can show understanding of their requirements
* Ability to utilise and contextualise data to inform strategic decision making as well as understanding the key role that it plays within our content
