The Live Event Production Manager plans and delivers the live production for Croydon PrideFest, overseeing stage, technical and artist logistics. Working with Trustees and suppliers, they ensure the event runs safely, smoothly, on time and to a high standard.

The Live Event Production Manager will provide essential professional expertise to ensure Croydon PrideFest is delivered safely, smoothly and to a high standard. By leading on production planning, artist coordination and on-the-day stage management, the role will reduce risk, improve audience and performer experience, and allow Croydon Pride Trustees to focus on strategic oversight and community engagement. This role strengthens Croydon Pride’s capacity to deliver a high-quality, inclusive Pride event that reflects the organisation’s values and supports its long-term sustainability.

* Strong working knowledge of sound, lighting, staging and power

* Experience with community, charity or Pride events desirable
What will you be doing?
Pre-event planning and coordination
* Provide specialist input into event planning, including stage layout, technical requirements, scheduling and site logistics.
* Advise on and support the development of artist contracts, technical riders, hospitality requirements and performance schedules.
* Liaise with artists, agents and tour managers to confirm requirements and ensure expectations are aligned.
* Work with the event team to identify suitable locations for stages, backstage areas, power, access and crowd flow.
* Coordinate with production suppliers (e.g. sound, lighting, staging, power) and contribute to procurement and briefing where required.
* Support the development of production timelines and schedules.
Event delivery (on the day)
* Act as the lead production contact on site, managing all live stage operations.
* Oversee stage management, changeovers, soundchecks and performance timings.
* Manage technical crews, stage managers and artist liaison staff.
* Troubleshoot production issues quickly and calmly to minimise disruption.
* Ensure performances run safely, smoothly and to schedule.
* Work closely with event control, security and stewards to manage any incidents impacting the stage or performers.
Health, safety and accessibility
* Ensure production activity complies with agreed risk assessments, method statements and event safety plans.
* Support accessible delivery of performances, including liaison around access needs and BSL interpreters.
* Promote a safe, inclusive and respectful working environment for artists, crew and volunteers.
Post-event
* Contribute to debriefs and post-event reviews, providing feedback and recommendations for future events.
