NHS Ayrshire & Arran’s Public Health Directorate offers an exciting opportunity to join our progressive team working on the picturesque west coast of Scotland. A generous relocation fund is available for anyone looking to relocate to Ayrshire. You will join a team embedded within the NHS and working closely with Community Planning Partnerships, Local Authority, Integrated Health & Social Care Partnerships, Third Sector, Resilience Partnerships and others.
The portfolio for the Consultant in Public Health / Child Health Commissioner post offers a stimulating mix of work with multidisciplinary teams across Ayrshire. We have excellent and very active working relationships with our three Local Authorities, Integrated Health and Social Care Partnerships (IHSCPs), Community Planning Partnerships (CPPs), NHS Infrastructure and Support Services, wider partners such as Police Scotland, Scottish Fire & Rescue Service (SFRS), Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS) and Third Sector colleagues.
The post holder will be actively encouraged to develop their own areas of interest and utilise our excellent links with universities across the West of Scotland.
This post is subject to the NHS Scotland Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions for NHS Staff or Medical and Dental contract depending on registration. Applicants must be registered as a Specialist with the UK Public Health Register, or GMC for medically trained applicants, and all speciality registrars should be within six months of obtaining their CCT at date of interview.

Consultant - £111,430 - £148,064
Band 8D - £103,764 - £108,206
