Finance Manager required for temporary contract for 3 months initially
Hours of work: hours per week (flexible options available)
Salary depending on experience
Location: Fivemiletown area
Who We're Looking For:
Essential Skills & Experience:
1. Minimum 3 years' experience as a Finance Manager or Head of Finance within a large business
2. BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field OR HNC in Finance/Accounting or equivalent
3. Experience in the use of accounting software Sage or Xero
4. In-depth understanding of cash flow management, bank reconciliation and bookkeeping
5. Hands-on experience with budgeting and risk management.
6. Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models
7. Solid analytical and decision-making skills
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, in particular Excel
9. Hold a full driving licence and/or have access to transport
Key responsibilities will include:
10. Overseeing the preparation of financial reports and management of all financial activities, including payroll and the procurement process
11. Managing budgets and authorising payments in line with Organisational Financial Policies and Procedures and Funding requirements
12. Forecasting monthly, quarterly and annual budgets
13. Collating, preparing and interpreting reports, budgets, accounts, commentaries and financial statements
14. Operate the PAYE system within organisation for a team of 25+ staff.
15. Work collaboratively with the Organisation's Accountants
16. Conducting financial Risk Management and reporting of this to Office Manager and Director
17. Assist all teams with updating funding Monitoring and Evaluation Financial data for reporting
18. Responding to financial requests and audits as appropriate.
19. Have oversight for Assets Registers
20. Oversight for Petty cash and Donation's book and holding of organisation monies.
21. Management of Gift Aid and process through Volunteer team
22. Reporting to, and participation at the monthly Finance Sub-Committee Meeting
23. Preparation of documentation for funding Verification visits. (Documentation will be checked over by the Office Manager, with oversight by the Director)
24. Updating claim sheets in collaboration with the Finance Administration Officer
25. Participation in staff inductions with regards to finances, training and supporting staff in financial practises, including following procurement guidelines and relevant paperwork.
26. Liaise with Companies House and other official bodies ensuring relevant returns are submitted
27. Liaising with Senior Management Team and other colleagues.
