Assistant Headteacher: Pastoral Care
The Post
Required for 1 September 2026, the Trustees are seeking to appoint an Assistant Headteacher: Pastoral Care (Key Stage 3) for our Free School, Barton Manor which opened in September 2022. The focus of responsibility for the post will be the Pastoral Care, Achievement, Attendance and Behaviour at KS3, as well as whole School G&T and Whole School Charity.
The successful candidate will have the potential and desire to be active and influential across the whole leadership spectrum. As such it will provide a first rate preparation for those considering going on to Deputy Headship.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate the Trust and School's vision and values and promote excellence in all aspects of school life. The role is a fantastic opportunity, as Assistant Headteacher of a new School, to establish the school’s culture/ethos of high academic/vocational standards within a very caring and supportive school community. Our focus is on achieving excellence in all that we do to support outstanding outcomes for all our students.
You will be joining a highly effective senior leadership team, led by the Headteacher and the Executive Headteacher, and joining a state-of-the-art school with the latest facilities, resources and ICT. We aim to ensure that the successful candidate will be central to all major strategic decisions and will be leading some of these, working with the Headteacher and the Executive Headteacher, Governors, staff and students.
