Location: Leeds (easily accessible from Wakefield, Bradford, Dewsbury & surrounding areas)
Pay: Up to MPS / UPS – £140+ per day (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday–Friday

Are you a qualified teacher or a Cover Supervisor who can deliver Maths and Science up to GCSE level, looking for a role where relationships matter more than results tables?
We’re recruiting a Maths & Science Teacher for a well-established Alternative Provision in Leeds, supporting primary and secondary-aged pupils with SEMH needs. Many of the pupils have been excluded from mainstream education due to trauma, medical needs, anxiety, or challenging behaviour — and are now ready for a fresh start with the right teacher.
This is a highly rewarding role for a calm, resilient educator who believes in restorative practice, consistency, and second chances.
About the Provision
1. Small class sizes (typically 6–8 pupils)

Your Role Will Include:
6. Teaching Maths and Science across KS2–KS4, including GCSE level
7. Planning & Delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
8. Supporting pupils with SEMH, trauma, anxiety, and behavioural challenges
9. Building strong, trusting relationships to support re-engagement in learning
10. Working closely with behaviour mentors, therapists, and pastoral staff
11. Supporting pupils to develop academic skills, resilience, and self-belief
We’re Looking For:
12. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS or equivalent)
13. Ability to teach Maths and Science up to GCSE level
14. Experience in SEMH, Alternative Provision, PRU, SEND, or mainstream with behaviour challenges
15. A calm, patient, and emotionally intelligent teaching style
16. Confidence managing challenging behaviour using trauma-informed strategies
17. Commitment to helping pupils who need stability, consistency, and care
