About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join one of our key M&E subcontractor clients team on a high value, secure government project in Suffolk. This role is with a growing M&E subcontractor delivering full electrical services on a major new-build prison development.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the mechanical services package from pre-construction through to handover, ensuring all work is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage all Electrical installation works
* Oversee subcontractors, engineers, and site teams to ensure programme and quality targets are achieved.
* Work closely with the M&E Project Director and client-side teams to coordinate all mechanical activities.
* Manage project budgets, forecasts, and progress reporting.
* Ensure compliance with all H&S, security, and quality procedures, particularly within the high-security environment.
* Attend and lead progress meetings, liaising with design, commercial, and site management teams.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Electrical Project Manager on large-scale M&E or building services projects (£10m+ M&E value preferred).
* Ideally experience in high-security or public sector projects (e.g., prisons, hospitals, MOD, custodial facilities) advantageous.
* Strong technical knowledge of mechanical building services.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* SMSTS, CSCS, and relevant mechanical qualifications essential.
