Your new company My client, the market leader in offering container transport and distribution services, is seeking a professional experienced Transport Planner to join their team on a permanent basis. Your new role The position is being offered full time and working from comfortable offices. Some of your duties will include but not limited to Dealing with drivers via phone and face to face Continuous communication with ports Booking delivery slots Updating internal system (TOPS) Chasing drivers for timings and updating the system accordingly Re-routing and planning as necessary Dealing with possible delays and speaking directly to customers if required Checking all PODS are assigned correctly to the correct jobs. Providing a first class service every time Making sure all documentation is correct the first time What you'll need to succeed You must possess previous experience in transport planning, ideally within containers.
