We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Facilities Manager in Yorkshire. This role covers two sites - HMP/YOI New Hall, Dial Wood, Flockton, Wakefield, West Yorkshire, WF4 4XX and the smaller HMP/YOI Askham Grange, Askham Richard, York, YO23 3FT.
The standard hours of work are 39 per week, between 08:00 – 17:00, Monday to Thursday; 08:00 -16:00 Friday, however flexibility will be required as the person responsible for delivery of statutory and mandatory maintenance across the sites.

What You Will Do
* People manage a large team of staff, including handling disciplinary and employment processes
* To oversee the day to day operation and strategic management of the Estate / building on behalf of the Client, developing customer relations with the establishment
* Ensure that all staff are aware of and comply with the Health and Safety Policy
* Achieve and maintain Statutory and Mandatory Compliance
* Ensure that KPIs are achieved and that staff are aware of their role in service delivery
* Update the Environmental Management System for site and ensure that measures to reduce the risk to the environment are adhered to
What You Will Bring
* Customer relationship management with good communication skills
* Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and implementation of policies
* Sound knowledge of Statutory and Mandatory Compliance with experience of preparing for external audits
* Recognised and relevant technical or FM qualification is preferred
* Solid experience in delivery of Hard FM (ideally 5 years)
* Proven experience of direct management of a large team
