Overall purpose of the role
Are you a highly motivated and experienced Business Analyst looking for a challenging new role in a dynamic team? We are seeking a self-starting Business Analyst to join our Global Transaction Banking team, focusing on an exciting digital transformation program. This is a fantastic opportunity to be the sole BA on a new, high-impact project, shaping its direction from the ground up.
This is a confidential, pre-inception digital program that will significantly enhance our corporate issuing cards capabilities. As the sole Business Analyst, you will be instrumental in the discovery phase, gathering requirements, conducting in-depth analysis, and mapping processes from scratch. While we can't disclose full project details until the successful candidate joins, this role offers the unique opportunity to define and shape the future of a crucial digital offering from its very beginning. You will be presenting to Director-level stakeholders and liaising with VPs across the business.
Key Accountabilities:
Lead the pre-inception and discovery phases of a new digital program
Gather and map requirements from scratch, translating high-level ideas into detailed functional specifications
Conduct in-depth research and analysis to understand current banking processes and envision new solutions
Own the project end-to-end, from shaping business needs to process mapping
Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders, including Directors and VPs
Build strong relationships and manage stakeholders effectively to facilitate fact-finding and requirements gathering
Collaborate with a dedicated Tech Analyst on the team
Key Skills:
● A self-starter with an advanced skillset in Business Analysis
Experienced in working autonomously and taking ownership of projects
A strong functional Business Analyst (Business BA) rather than a purely technical BA
Proficient in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
Familiar with or has a working understanding of Confluence & Jira
Possesses excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ideally has prior banking experience and understands the landscape of a regulated financial environment
