Business Account Executive (12‑Month Maternity Cover)
Location: Irlam (Hybrid – 2 days in the office, 3 from home)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 8am – 5pm
Are you commercially minded, confident with data, and ready to play a key role supporting one of the UK’s leading retailers?
We’re looking for a Business Account Executive to join a highly experienced and supportive team on a 12‑month maternity cover contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with one of the top five UK retailers, gaining exposure across commercial operations, supply chain, marketing, and finance.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Act as a key point of contact for leading commercial support to the Business Sector Controllers.
* Maintain accurate product and pricing data across internal systems and retailer portals.
* Monitor sales forecasts and performance, analyse trends, and provide insight to drive growth.
* Liaise with main account buying and supply chain teams, communicating proactively to ensure strong forecasting and availability.
* Support product launches, promotions, and costings through close collaboration with marketing, finance, and production teams.
* Create reports and presentations using Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP to share key insights.
* Visit stores when required to review campaigns and ensure accurate pricing and promotional execution.
About You
You’ll be organised, analytical, and commercially aware with a natural ability to communicate clearly and confidently across teams. You’ll have excellent attention to detail, be comfortable with spreadsheets, and thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
We’re Looking For Someone Who
* Has strong Excel and numerical skills (SAP experience is a plus).
* Can communicate effectively both internally and externally.
* Has great attention to detail and commercial awareness.
* Is proactive and willing to get stuck in to support wider business functions.
* Ideally has experience within FMCG or retail (beneficial but not essential).
* Has a full UK driving licence (required for occasional travel to customer sites).
This is a fully immersive, hands‑on role where you’ll be supported by two highly experienced colleagues and gain exposure to all areas of a thriving business. Perfect for someone looking to build on their commercial experience or take the next step after a graduate role.
If you’re ready to take ownership, make an impact, and be part of a friendly, flexible team — we’d love to hear from you.
