Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated individual to support the School Travel Service by updating the school travel database and liaising with various stakeholders, including Children’s Services, Health and Safety, Procurement, schools, colleges, parents/carers, and other agencies.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain and update the school travel database accurately.
* Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate travel arrangements.
* Support operational activities related to the School Travel Service.
Requirements:
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize workload.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build effective relationships and handle difficult situations courteously.
* Problem-solving and negotiation skills for practical and timely resolution of issues.
* Planning skills for short and medium-term arrangements.
* Energy, enthusiasm, and self-motivation.
* Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office Suite and databases.
* Flexibility to participate in an office cover rota, including early (07:00) and late (17:00) shifts.
Working Pattern: 18.50 hours per week, including Wednesday half-day (approximately 10:00-14:00), Thursday and Friday (7.4 hours per day).
Note: Successful candidates typically start at the lower end of the pay grade.
