Permanent Teacher with additional responsibility as Curriculum Lead

The Governing Body, staff, and pupils seek to appoint an excellent, enthusiastic and committed class teacher who can support and help us to deliver the educational vision of our school and form part of the school’s Senior Leadership Team as Curriculum Lead.

The successful candidate will be required to set high standards in all aspects of school life and must be enthusiastic, energetic and passionate about children and their learning, and be able to support the development of whole school improvement. The ability and commitment to work strategically as a member of the leadership team and with staff, pupils, parents and the wider community would be required.

The successful applicant will:

1. have experience of managing and supporting staff as part of a Senior Leadership team;
2. make a meaningful contribution to the school's development by leading its Curriculum for Wales journey and maximising opportunities for high-quality teaching and learning
3. be a high calibre, inspiring teacher who plans authentic learning opportunities for our pupils building on the pupils’ knowledge, skills and experiences;
4. be an excellent classroom practitioner with a deep understanding of how children learn successfully within the principles of the Curriculum for Wales;
5. be able to provide high-quality learning experiences leading towards the four purposes while developing pupils’ integral and cross-curricular skills;
6. have current, up to date knowledge of the purpose of assessment and successful experience of developing pupils’ self and peer assessments against success criteria;
7. maintain excellent standards of behaviour through fostering positive relationships;
8. have a positive and enthusiastic attitude to all areas of school life and all our pupils;
9. be committed to their own professional learning;
10. be able to work effectively as part of a team and contribute effectively to improving teaching and learning within our school.
