Location:Bristol (Hybrid considered for the right candidate 1 day per week in office)
We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturer of glazing and partition systems. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded estimator to join a specialist product business at an exciting stage of its growth.
The Role
You'll be responsible for estimating on commercial office fit-out projects, pricing glazing & partition systems for supply to main contractors. This is a product-only role no labour but the commercial complexity is real. You'll be reading architectural drawings, identifying commercial risk, and building pricing for projects that can reach £2m in product value.
What You'll Be Doing
* Preparing detailed estimates and tender submissions for commercial fit-out projects
* Reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications
* Liaising with main contractors and general contractors
* Identifying commercial risk within tender packages
* Working with Causeway estimating software and internal take-off tools
* Converting between imperial and metric measurements as required
What We're Looking For
* A background in estimating for commercial fit-out (glazing, partitions or similar drywall/drylining considered)
* Comfortable pricing high-value, xsngvjr large-scale projects
* Familiarity with estimating software packages
* Able to work independently and hit the ground running
* A QS background with a desire to move into estimating will also be considered
