Curve Recruitment are proud to be partnering with a leading main contractor based in Hatfield, seeking an experienced Buyer to join their commercial team.
Operating across a broad range of sectors including commercial, retail and mixed-use developments, they are proud to deliver new build, refurbishment and fit-out projects throughout London and the Home Counties.
They are now looking to strengthen their procurement function with a commercially astute and organised construction professional.

Performance Objectives
* Managing procurement of materials and plant across multiple live projects
* Sourcing and negotiating with suppliers to secure best value and service
* Placing orders in line with project specifications and programme requirements
* Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships
* Monitoring delivery schedules to ensure materials arrive on time
* Working closely with Commercial and Operational teams to forecast procurement needs
* Identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
* Ensuring compliance with company procedures and procurement policies
Person Specification
* Proven experience in a Buyer or Procurement role within construction
* Experience within a main contractor environment preferred
* Background across commercial, retail, new build or fit-out projects advantageous
* Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
* Commercially aware and confident managing multiple priorities
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement systems
* Professional, proactive and able to work effectively within a team environment
