Hours and Shift Pattern: 37 hours per week Monday to Friday, no shift work This post is offered on a permanent basis. From 1 April 2026, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will be reduced. Full-time hours will reduce from 37 to 36 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings. What you will do: As a central point of contact for medical education matters, the postholder will support governance processes, strategic initiatives, and continuous improvement. They will contribute to the design and implementation of service changes and ensure education standards are consistently met across the directorate. Key responsibilities include: Supporting strategic and operational delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate education Managing information systems and ensuring data accuracy Leading administrative services and supporting performance, financial, and risk management Supporting the Director and Assistant Directors of Medical Education in planning, evaluation, and innovation Representing the department internally and externally and supporting decision-making For further information on the role please click the link below to view the job description Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job: The postholder requires significant knowledge of the health and care sector and to have demonstrable success in projects and change management, preferably within a service delivery setting. An awareness of the political context of NHS including knowledge and understanding of when, how and with whom information can appropriately be shared is required alongside experience within a large complex organisation, preferably in the NHS or Public Sector. The postholder should also be educated to degree level or hold an equivalent professional qualification in leadership, business, or education management, or have equivalent relevant experience demonstrating these competencies.
