People Manager / HR Business Partner - Multi site
Role purpose:
Reporting to the Senior Accountant, responsible for completing daily, weekly, and monthly financial tasks that lead to the production of forecasts, management accounts, and balance sheets.
Part of a wider finance team providing financial advice, information, and input (e.g., business planning, budgeting, service level agreements, costing, and market testing) to various services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the full spectrum of accounting and bookkeeping tasks using computerized systems, requiring proficiency in:
* Working with multiple companies
* Monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations
* Accruals and prepayments
* Posting monthly journals
* Monthly sales invoicing
* Sales Ledger control: raising invoices, chasing payments, liaising with customers
* Accounts Payable: creating bi-weekly and monthly payment runs
* Updating the fixed asset register and posting depreciation journals
* Assisting in ad hoc tasks/projects
* Preparing and issuing management accounts to Senior Managers
* Coordinating monthly P&L performance review meetings with the General Manager and operations team
* Working with the General Manager to maximize profitability
* Collaborating with the FD to ensure policies and SOPs are in place and followed
Qualifications/Experience:
* Minimum 3 years practical accounting experience within a group of multiple companies
* Solid experience in accounting/bookkeeping up to trial balance and beyond
* AAT level 4 or higher preferred
* Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics & Sage 50 accounts
* Advanced Excel skills: formulas, sums, VLOOKUPs, filters
* Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional teamwork skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
