What Are We Looking For?
Our Operations and Maintenance team is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join our Cumbernauld office on a permanent basis. You will be part of an experienced team working on Scottish Water projects across Scotland. Your role will involve all aspects of maintenance tasks.
Due to the nature of this role, on-call work is required on a rotational basis.
Key Duties Include:
1. Dismantling and re-assembling mechanical assemblies.
2. Inspecting equipment and identifying faulty components.
3. Ensuring adherence to quality, environmental, and health and safety procedures.
4. Carrying out preventative maintenance on plant and equipment.
5. Assisting other disciplines when required.
6. Ensuring the safe use of hand tools, machinery, and other equipment.
7. Maintaining equipment to high safety standards.
Requirements:
1. SVQ or City and Guilds qualification.
2. Mechanical understanding, with knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and hydrostatic systems.
3. Ability to interpret schematics and maintenance drawings to diagnose faults.
4. Organizational skills and ability to plan removal and reinstallation of components.
5. Self-checking skills and high standards regarding environment, quality, and safety.
6. Full UK driving licence.
