Position: Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy (Clinical Education)
Employment type: Full-time (35 hours per week)
Duration: Continuing
Remuneration: $127k – $178k base, depending on experience (+17% superannuation and leave loading)
Work rights: Visa sponsorship is not available. Candidates must hold full rights to work in Australia to be considered.

Overview
The School of Health Sciences at UNSW is expanding to service education agendas across four health professional education programs. These programs are broadening teaching efforts and aim to shape the future health workforce in Australia and beyond.
Role focus: As our pharmacy program expands, this position will be primarily responsible for experiential learning (clinical placements and simulation) throughout the pharmacy program.
UNSW Education Focused roles (EF) enable academics to specialise in education and devote time to delivering high-quality teaching and pursuing initiatives that enhance the educational experience of students. Those appointed to this specialisation are expected to drive educational excellence within the university’s teaching and learning communities.
Key Skills and Qualifications
Level B (in addition to the base requirements)
* A PhD in a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience
* General Registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (AHPRA)
* Knowledge and experience in clinical areas relevant to the practice of pharmacy and the ability to deliver appropriate care
* Active engagement with discipline knowledge and professional development
* Demonstrated experience in clinical teaching and assessment at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels
* Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence (e.g., curriculum design, especially in clinical education and development at various levels)
* Demonstrated knowledge of industry or experience with work-integrated learning (desirable)
Level C (in addition to Level B requirements)
* Advanced clinical knowledge and the ability to deliver person-centred care
* Advanced practice credentialing for medicines review, aged care or other specialty areas (desired)
* Evidence of professional development of teaching practices in self and others; ability to advance and lead an inclusive learning culture
* Demonstrated success in initiating curriculum development and improvement
