We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate full time SEMH Primary Teacher to join our supportive team in Portsmouth as soon as possible. This role involves working with primary-aged pupils who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, many of whom may also have additional learning or behavioural challenges. The successful candidate will play a key role in creating a safe, structured, and nurturing environment that enables pupils to re-engage with learning and achieve positive outcomes. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that are tailored to pupils with SEMH needs. Create a positive, supportive classroom environment that promotes emotional regulation and wellbeing. Implement behaviour support strategies and individual learning plans. Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, pastoral staff, and external professionals. Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies where necessary. Build strong relationships with pupils, parents/carers, and the wider school community. The Ideal Candidate Will Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Experience working with pupils with SEMH, behavioural needs, or additional learning needs.
