About the role
Working as a Graduate Project Manager or Quantity Surveyor in our PMCM teams will mean working on exciting and innovative projects in the UK and around the world. Our team of 450 people are based across all regions of the UK.

PMCM Civils Infrastructure & Utilities
As a Project Manager within our team, you can expect a rich, structured and fast‑paced journey that blends technical development with real‑world impact. Your day‑to‑day activities may include:
* Project support & coordination
* Assist in planning, scheduling, and monitoring project progress, identifying potential risks, and assisting in developing mitigation strategies
* Help prepare project documentation, reports, and presentations
* Attend client meetings and support communication between internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders
* Support financial monitoring and reporting, ensuring projects stay within budget
* Assist with managing contracts under frameworks such as NEC
* Ensure project activities align with WSP’s quality management systems and promote health, safety and sustainability across all phases
As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor you will support the commercial and financial management of construction and infrastructure projects across transport, water, and defence. Your day‑to‑day activities may include:
* Assisting in preparing initial cost estimates and budgets
* Supporting feasibility studies and value engineering exercises
* Helping draft tender documents and evaluate contractor bids
* Monitoring contract variations and ensuring accurate documentation
* Supporting management of payment applications and interim valuations
* Measuring quantities on‑site or from drawings to assess progress
* Value completed work and prepare cost reports
* Track project costs and assist in forecasting final account values
* Identify risks and opportunities to improve cost efficiency
PMCM Rail
As a Graduate Project Manager you will assist in the delivery of complex rail projects. Your day‑to‑day activities may include:
* Assisting the PM in developing detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and risk management
* Monitoring project progress, identifying potential issues, and implementing corrective actions
* Assisting in managing project budgets and reviewing expenditures
* Managing changes and delays, ensuring issues are resolved or mitigated
* Handling RFIs, early warnings, and general communications to reduce risk
As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor you will support commercial and financial management of rail projects. Your day‑to‑day activities may include:
* Assisting in preparing initial cost estimates and budgets
* Supporting feasibility studies and value engineering
* Contributing to procurement strategy and contract selection
* Managing payment applications and interim valuations
* Measuring quantities and preparing cost reports
* Tracking project costs and identifying risks
PMCM Buildings
Day‑to‑day activities include:
* Planning projects
* Monitoring progress against the schedule
* Managing risks
* Supporting engagement with stakeholders
* Developing cost estimates and tracking costs
* Supporting the management of contracts
PMCM Programme Solutions
Day‑to‑day activities include:
* Assist in maintaining and updating project schedules
* Support document control processes
* Prepare performance reports (cost, schedule, KPIs)
* Contribute to dashboard and analytics development
* Work closely with delivery teams to ensure data‑driven decision making
Graduate Development Programme
Our two‑year Graduate Development Programme supports personal and professional growth through an engaging blended learning experience. What We Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate
To be considered you will have graduated with at least a 2:1 in a master’s or bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject. You will:
* Answer all application questions fully and complete the online skill enabler assessment
* Start work in either April or September 2026
