Job Description:
Due to our client’s ongoing success, they have an opportunity for an experienced mortgage specialist to join their team in Leamington Spa. We are looking for an experienced Mortgage Adviser who will be largely based on-site within the property practice, providing quality financial advice to clients interested in residential and commercial property purchases.
Specific Responsibilities:
* Meet with clients to understand their financial situation, goals, and needs.
* Provide professional advice on mortgage options, including fixed-rate, variable-rate, buy-to-let, and government schemes.
* Help clients select suitable mortgage products based on their budget and preferences.
* Guide clients through the mortgage application process.
* Complete and submit mortgage applications to lenders.
* Ensure all necessary documentation is gathered and submitted, such as income statements, credit histories, and property details.
* Stay updated with market trends, new products, and lending criteria.
* Research and compare lenders’ products to find the best options for clients.
* Ensure all advice and transactions comply with financial regulations, including FCA standards.
* Provide clear, written records of advice given to clients.
* Keep clients informed about their application status.
* Address any questions or concerns clients have during the mortgage process.
* Follow up post-application to ensure satisfaction and offer additional services.
* Build relationships with estate agents, financial advisers, and other professionals for leads and referrals.
* Attend networking events to connect with industry professionals and expand the client base.
* Advise on improving credit scores, saving for deposits, and financial decisions related to homeownership.
* Guide clients on remortgaging and managing existing mortgage products.
Desired Skills:

* Knowledge of stress testing portfolios.
* Keen eye for detail.
* CeMAP Diploma.
* Experience with high-net-worth clients.
* Experience working with Chartered Financial Planners.
