Post Title: Childrens Coach (Basketball) Site Location: Mountbatten – Portsmouth Salary: £20 per hour Contract Type: Casual We have an exciting opportunity for a Casual Childrens Basketball Coach to join our team at the Mountbatten Leisure Centre in Portsmouth. Mountbatten is located in Hilsea, a five-minute drive from Portsmouth city centre and offers access to high-quality fitness facilities including a cardio zone, free weights, functional fitness, group cycle studio, sports hall, running track, swimming pool & spa, and free parking. You will plan and delver junior activities and fitness sessions to children of all ages, ensuring the safety, welfare and wellbeing of all participants. You will: · Plan children’s sessions and activities · Set up and take down equipment, ensuring it is safe to use · Provide safe, informative, fun and progressive sessions · Keep all children safe from harm and report any safeguarding concerns · Attend training and meetings as and when required · Adhere to health and safety requirements You will need: · Level 2 Basketball Coach qualification or Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Multi-Skills Development in Sport · Previous experience of planning and delivering quality sessions for children of all ages and abilities. · Confidence in delivering sessions to groups of children and be able to use your own initiative.
