Twycross Zoo - Head of Marketing

Twycross Zoo is entering one of the most exciting periods in its history.
We are growing as a thriving visitor attraction, evolving as a conservation charity, and investing in major new projects that will define the next decade. From the launch of our Global Conservation Centre to new zoo expansion, accommodation, education growth, Lanterns of the Wild and the continued evolution of The Gruffalo Discovery Land, the scale and ambition of what we are building has stepped up.
We are now looking for a Head of Marketing to help us deliver that next phase.
This is not a role for someone who wants to sit in a silo. It is for someone who enjoys joining the dots, bringing clarity to complexity and helping great work land brilliantly.
The role
The Head of Marketing plays a senior coordinating role within our marketing team.
You will help turn strategy into joined up, well paced marketing activity. You will protect and champion the Twycross Zoo brand. You will support strong commercial focus across campaigns. And you will help ensure that traditional, digital, media and creative marketing activity are aligned behind clear priorities.
You will not be taking ownership away from specialists. You will be enabling them to do their best work and making sure it all comes together as one.
You will report into the Marketing Director and join the leadership team at the zoo, driving our mission driven culture across the organisation.
What you will be working on
You will be involved in some of the most important projects in the organisation, including
• Supporting the marketing of the Global Conservation Centre and its education and engagement programmes
• Coordinating campaigns for major events such as Lanterns of the Wild
• Evolving and protecting the Twycross Zoo brand across all touchpoints
• Supporting the growth of Gruffalo Discovery Land and family led experiences
• Helping shape marketing plans for future zoo expansion and accommodation
• Bringing structure and clarity to a busy, seasonal trading calendar
What we are looking for
We are looking for someone senior, calm and commercially aware.
Someone who
• understands brand and how it shows up in the real world
• has experience coordinating integrated marketing campaigns
• is comfortable working with data, performance and trading priorities
• can bring structure without stifling creativity
• communicates clearly and works well with specialists
• cares about purpose and impact, not just output
You do not need to come from a zoo or conservation background, but you do need to care about what we stand for and where we are heading.
