Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Cleveland
Salary: £100 – £130 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are currently recruiting enthusiastic and dependable Cover Supervisors to work in schools across Cleveland.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be supervising classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain focused on their learning and complete set work in a structured and engaging classroom environment. The successful candidate will help maintain continuity of learning while supporting positive behaviour and student engagement.
Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor:
* Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher
* Deliver pre-set work and ensure students remain on task
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
* Support students with their learning where necessary
* Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student progress and behaviour
* Maintain a safe, respectful, and productive classroom environment
* Follow safeguarding and school procedures at all times
* Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff
Requirements of a Cover Supervisor:
* Previous experience working with young people is desirable
* Strong communication and classroom management skills
* Confident, proactive, and adaptable approach
* Ability to engage and motivate students
* Degree or relevant school-based experience is advantageous
* Passion for education and supporting student development
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
