Our valued client in Edinburgh is seeking a dedicated School Bus Driver to provide safe and reliable transport for children and adults with additional support needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in peoples daily lives.
Location: EH16 4BB
Rate of Pay: £14.51 per hour
Hours of Work: MondayFriday, 36 hours per week. Additional hours will be subject to time and a half as of week 13
Duration: Temporary Ongoing
Start Date: ASAP
The School Bus Driver will:
* Safely transport passengers to and from school, day centres, and community activities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity at all times.
* Provide assistance when boarding and leaving the vehicle, offering patient and respectful support tailored to each individuals needs.
* Carry out daily vehicle checks, maintain cleanliness, and promptly report any maintenance concerns.
* Build positive and trusting relationships with passengers, families, and staff, promoting a calm and friendly atmosphere.
* Follow all road safety regulations and organisational policies to the highest standard.
Requirements:
* Valid UK driving licence with D1 category (essential).
* Previous experience supporting children or adults with additional needs or vulnerabilities (highly desirable).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Compassionate, patient, and committed to safeguarding and wellbeing.
Additional Information:
* This role is subject to a PVG check new applicants £59, update applications £18.
