Job Title: Senior HR Advisor Location: Rugby, UK Job Overview We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join our dynamic HR team. The HR Advisor will play a crucial role in providing guidance and support on human resources-related issues, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements. This role involves working closely with managers and employees to foster a healthy work environment and contribute to achieving our business goals. Based in Rugby with frequent travel to Gateshead, this role will be responsible for the HR function in two Group companies as a stand alone role with support from a HR Team based in Hemel Hempstead. Key Responsibilities Provide advice and guidance to all employees on hire to retire including HR including policies, procedures and other employment matters highlighting any areas of concern. Advise, coach and support managers in how to coach their teams, conducting performance reviews, disciplinary and grievance hearings up to and including dismissals, and advising on risk in line with Company policies and procedures, legislation and best practice. Manage the Recruitment & Selection Process; advertising jobs internally and externally using HR Link; liaising with candidates; arranging and participating in interviews; preparing interviewing questions in line with our cultural behaviours and ensuring feedback to all candidates interviewed, personality profiling, and arranging of temporary staff. Ensuring a robust onboarding plan for all new employees is implemented. Manage the Company reference process including a system for chasing outstanding references and highlighting areas of concern. This may also include CRB checking. Advise and manger on the right to work process in the UK and Ireland and ensure the correct checks are carried out and RTW is in place. Support managers with performance development and enabling requirements and initiatives. Co-ordinate the leaver process and conduct exit interviews, monitoring trends and providing feed back to the company and line managers. Manage sickness absence process, occupational health and wellbeing initiatives. Ensure all employee data relating to payroll is processed in line with the payroll timetable. Participate, promote and assist with employee branding and engagement activities Maintain master data in line with GDPR and provide people management analytics. Leverage AI tools to streamline HR processes and enhance employee processes Requirements Proven work experience as an HR Advisor, HR Consultant, or similar role. Knowledge of current UK and Ireland legislation. Hands-on experience with Office applications and Human Resources Management Software. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
