What you will do:
* Respond to initial referrals and duty enquiries, assessing risk and determining appropriate interventions in a timely and efficient manner.
* Undertake initial and comprehensive assessments, contributing to the development of the Child’s Plan in line with the GIRFEC framework.
* Manage cases involving child protection concerns, participate actively in investigations, and ensure immediate safeguarding actions are taken when necessary.
* Contribute to and attend child protection case conferences, strategy discussions, and multi-agency meetings to ensure integrated support for children and families.
Qualifications:
* Hold a Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent).
* Show evidence of continued professional development to stay updated with the latest in social care practices.
Registration & Compliance:
* Registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks including the Children (Scotland) Act 1995 and Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014.
