Job Summary
We are seeking a 'Front of House Hero' a professional, friendly, enthusiastic, organised & confident Dental Receptionist to join our independent private dental practice. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, responsible for managing appointments, handling administrative tasks, and providing excellent customer service. This role offers an opportunity to work in a welcoming environment within a busy dental clinic, supporting both patients and the wider dental team efficiently and courteously.
Responsibilities
* Greet patients warmly and ensure a positive first impression of the practice
* Manage digital appointment scheduling, cancellations, and rescheduling with accuracy and efficiency
* Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally, directing enquiries appropriately
* Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed
* Handle administrative duties such as scanning, data entry, and processing payments
* Confirm patient appointments via phone or email prior to visits
* Assist with maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the reception area
* Support the dental team with administrative tasks as required
Skills
* Proven office experience, preferably within a healthcare or dental setting
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
* Proficient in using office software programmes such as MS Office or similar applications
* Friendly demeanour with a professional attitude towards patient care and confidentiality, calm, caring, pro-active, an enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude and an ability to work on your own initiative
* Some administrative experience is essential; training will be provided for specific practice management systems
Hours Mon/Wed Tue/Thur/Fri
