Consultant in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery – Breast Surgery
Applications are invited for the above post based at Ninewells Hospital & Medical School, Dundee. This is a replacement post following retiral.
This is a full‑time post (10 PA’s per week) – based at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, but with potential for sessions across the regional territory. The post will have a major interest in all aspects of reconstructive breast surgery, post‑reconstruction surgery and congenital breast surgery. The breast reconstruction service currently treats approximately 70 new patients per year. There is also a provision for delayed reconstruction and other elements of reconstructive breast surgery and general plastic surgery.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with an established reconstructive Plastic Surgeon both in theatre & outpatient clinic, providing mentorship & support to further develop clinical abilities. There are also opportunities to further develop & expand the current multidisciplinary services.
Experience in the management of emergency Plastic Surgery cases is expected, and the on‑call commitment is anticipated to be on a 1:9 basis.
