Quality Engineer - Kidderminster - Salary dependent on experience A Quality Engineer is required to work as a Quality authority for a leading defence organisation based in the Worcestershire area who manufacture niche, high value products for the Ministry of Defence. The Quality Engineer will assure customer requirements are addressed through development and production and that the supply of conforming product, manufactured to controlled operational processes is achieved. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for the following: - Preparation of Quality Plans and approval of suppliers\' plans to meet Customer requirements - Involvement in the generation of process controls, maintaining quality records and databases - Conducting and reporting on audit reviews, and managing corrective actions - Driving NCR investigations, root cause analyses and improvement activities - Generating end item data - packs and certifying the release of product for delivery - Preparation and involvement in project meetings and liaising with customers\' representatives In addition, the following general attributes are required for the Quality Engineer: - Hold a minimum of an HNC or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline - Have training in Lean 6 Sigma Green Belt methodology - Have experience of working within an EN 9100 certified business system - Have knowledge of continuous improvement and problem solving techniques - Have experience of working in an aerospace environment, with knowledge and understanding of Customer/ MoD requirements and standards - The candidate should have good interpersonal skills and be able to work in a team, - Hold a qualification and be experienced in product and process auditing - The ability to speak French would be an advantage - The candidate will also benefit from holding an authorised clearance to work on MoD contracts Due to our client\'s activity and customer base, security clearances will be required.
