Salary: up to circa £29,000
We are looking for a Temporary Credit Controller to join our clients finance team based in Skelmersdale, on a 3 month contract. This role will provide valuable, hands-on experience within a busy role, supporting the management of the sales ledger and ensuring timely collection of customer payments.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and maintain the sales ledger
Issue invoices and statements to customers
Contact clients regarding outstanding payments via phone and email
Reconcile customer accounts and resolve queries promptly
Support cash allocation and banking processes
Produce simple debtor reports and highlight potential issues
Work with operations and finance teams to resolve invoicing discrepancies
Provide general support to the wider finance team when required
Skills & Attributes:
Previous experience in a similar credit control role
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Competent with IT systems (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Enthusiastic, organised, and eager to learn within a finance environment
Reliable team player with a proactive approach
