Electrical QA/QC Lead Must Have Data Centre Experience London
Our client, a leading and expanding M&E subcontractor, is delivering mission-critical infrastructure across the UK and Europe, with a strong reputation for excellence in commercial, pharmaceutical, and data centre sectors.
As part of a flagship data centre project in London, we are now seeking a highly experienced Electrical QA/QC Lead to join our site delivery team. This is a permanent position offering a dynamic environment and genuine long-term career prospects within a company driven by quality and innovation.
Role Responsibilities:
Lead the electrical QA/QC function across the data centre project, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and statutory regulations.
Review and approve electrical design documentation, method statements, materials, and installation practices.
Develop and implement comprehensive project-specific QA/QC plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and quality flowcharts.
Conduct in-depth inspections and audits of ongoing electrical works including containment, LV systems, UPS, generators, and life safety systems.
Collaborate closely with subcontractors and internal teams, managing quality KPIs and NCRs, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
Support commissioning activities and ensure systems are tested and verified per contractual requirements.
Maintain detailed records of QA documentation, certification, and compliance across all project stages.
Deliver QA training and lead regular quality meetings with project stakeholders and trade partners.
Candidate Profile:
Background in electrical engineering or construction quality management with a minimum of 5 years in a QA/QC leadership role.
Proven track record of delivering QA/QC on complex data centre projects across Europe or the UK.
Strong knowledge of electrical standards, quality frameworks, and commissioning protocols in a mission-critical environment.
Excellent communication and reporting skills, able to lead by example and drive a culture of quality across teams.
Comfortable working under pressure, solving problems proactively, and ensuring work is right first time.
