As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to expand our client base and secure new contracts across diverse sectors.
The role
Reporting directly to senior management, you will take ownership of business growth, focusing on high-value opportunities and long-term client relationships.
Key responsibilities
* Identify and develop new business opportunities in commercial guarding, events, venues, film/TV production, licensed premises, and specialist protection.
* Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through networking, referrals, and market research.
* Prepare, write, and submit tenders, bids, and proposals to win new contracts.
* Lead presentations and pitch meetings to key decision-makers.
* Negotiate pricing, service specifications, and contract terms in line with company objectives.
* Collaborate with operations teams to ensure smooth mobilisation and service delivery.
* Track market trends, competitor activity, and client feedback to inform strategy.
* Achieve agreed sales targets and KPIs.
What we’re looking for
* Proven track record of winning security contracts and delivering sustainable sales growth.
* Previous experience in successful tender writing and bid management (essential).
* Strong understanding of the UK security industry, standards, and compliance requirements.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive proposals.
* Confident in client-facing environments, with strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
* Self-motivated, commercially minded, and results-driven.
* Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
* Full UK driving licence (preferred).
