The role of Technology QA and Test Service Manager will include:
1. Manage the development, delivery and ongoing maintenance of Technology QA and Test services across the Group, ensuring that they are efficient, fit-for-purpose, robust and integrated in accordance with the Group Test Policy
2. Manage the service to ensure the appropriate testing to a standard commensurate with the Technology delivery path and the Technology operations priority, identifying and working to mitigate the risks associated with deviation or that arise during the project lifecycle
3. Govern production of test documents which will form the contract between the project and the QA and Test function and that they are authored and owned by QA and Test
4. Drive a “Shift Left” approach to the earliest detection and removal of defects from requirements through to implementation always looking to Industry Standards to appropriately elevate the capability, ultimately resulting in fewer P1 and P2 production faults, procedures and technologies to ensure effective delivery of departmental and Group objectives
5. Responsible for the future selection and utilisation of appropriate test tooling, aligned to strategic direction
Skills and experiences:
6. Proven experience of managing Testing technologies and standards in a large, complex organisation
7. Proven experience of achievement working within an organisational structure which includes a group parent and subsidiary organisations
8. Strong leadership capability, with exceptional track record of leading and developing teams in a fast paced and/or changing environment
9. Proven ability to build and manage successful working relationships with internal customers and external suppliers
10. International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) Foundation Certificate in Software Testing or equivalent

23. Effective 1st April role salary is £66,721 with an additional policy allowance of £4,530 per annum (rising to £70,233 with an additional policy allowance of £4,768 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
